George and Harleen

We're happy to say that at the moment, George and Harleen are still with us. Rumors of their early departure the other day turned out to be exaggerated. While we're happy to report that they have not left at this point, their future at Aviana does remain uncertain. We hope that new ownership will see the advantages of keeping on experienced staff that knows the grounds and its tenants. George has been busy for the last couple days fixing what ails us, and Harleen has been instrumental in seeing that things get scheduled and done. I'm sure we've all seen far than our fair share of staff turnover in a short period of time. This blogger, for one, feels that keeping experienced staff around while other transitions occur might provide some stability during the transition of ownership.

Agreed. Why would Spieker try to bring in new people? If it ain't broke...
We should all put in a call to Tod Spieker's voicemail asking they they make every reasonable effort to maintain som continuity by keepign Harleen and George. The number is on the main page.

OOPS!

Here's the number for Spieker Companies:

(650) 968-2660

ext: 500 will get you to Tod Spieker's voicemail or the receptionist

If Spieker is really smart they will keep Marcangelo, the weenend manager. If you want to fill apartments, hire the person that has been able to fill the aparments you have.

It's a miracle he was able to lease any apartments at all. We're way overpriced for what you get.
A 2-br, 2-ba we just looked at at Birch Creek is $3,000 a month cheaper and you get washer/dryer and big screen in the unit

I walked through Birch Creek yesterday. It's very well maintained, but there are too many screaming kids.

Well, based on the notice I just got, Harleen is out as manager and a couple will start next week or so. I think the tenants should do a walkaround with the new manager so they can see everything that has been bugging us,

I heard from The Mayor the new company hired George. We all agree that he is a very likable guy. Now if only he would actually leave the lobby and go FIX things. He starts working on lots of things, it's his rate of completion that the new manager needs to work on.

I met the new managers yesterday. Very nice couple. A little personality goes a long way with me.
